Hello Palmer’s Families! 

We hope you are all safe and healthy!

We miss you and can’t wait to see all your smiling faces back in the gym!
Just because we are at home doesn’t mean we can’t be healthy and active. You can use this time to work on your flexibility and strength. You can compete the below list with your friends and family, but more importantly, compete with yourself and who you were yesterday. Strive to be better each day and stay active! 
 What’s the Challenge? Below you will a link to the the challenge chart. It lists fifteen different stretches or exercises that you can (and should) be doing at least every few days at home. Some of them have descriptions, such as how long to perform, or how many repetitions to do. Once you hold the stretch for the duration, or complete the exercise’s repetitions, you have completed that day’s challenge. 
 
 How Does It Work? After you complete an exercise, have your parent initial the progress. The next day, you can repeat your challenges. You do not have to do all the challenges at once.  So, feel free to do some in the morning and some in the evening, or whenever you are bored!

Dear Palmer’s Recreational Families:
 
I pray this letter finds you and your family in good health during these unprecedented times! We thank God that at this time, there are no known cases of coronavirus among any of our students or staff. The last week here at the gym has been surreal; walking through our quiet facility was more difficult than I could ever imagine. We so miss the usual joyful chatter of kids having fun while learning! ‘Sad' does not begin to capture the emotion.
 
We would like to extend our gratitude and thanks to those families that reached out to us and waived last week’s credit. Your thoughtfulness and kind words reminded me of why we consider our students as part of our extended family!

As you know, in light of the new 'stay at home' directive received from Illinois Governor J.B.Pritzker starting today (3-21-20) at 5 PM we are required to remain closed through April 7th. While we wait for things to return to normal, we want to inform you of our current plans regarding, extending our current session & tuition. Please understand that these plans are fluid and may need to be updated or changed. We will be monitoring the crisis daily and keep you abreast of any additional information.
 
 Additional Closure: In light of the Governor’s “stay at home” directive, we will be
closed for an additional 2 weeks through at least April 7th.  Additional closures are
possible and will be assessed at a later date.

 Session 4: For those families who are currently enrolled in Session 4 we will be
extending the session for the length of the closure. For example; because we are closed
for an additional 2 weeks, session 4 will be extended by an additional 2 weeks. This way
no one will have to squeeze in any additional make up classes. Please Note: ALL
families received a credit for this past week’s closure (March 16 – 21). The
credit will be on your account to use toward any future sessions. We will
not be issuing any additional credits. Rest assured that your child will still
get to attend all of the classes you paid for.

 Session 5: As of now the start date for Session 5 will be pushed back at least 2 weeks
to accommodate the extension of Session 4. We will be posting new session dates as
soon as possible.

 Contacting Us: We will not have staff manning the phones over the next two weeks.

Again, thank you so much for your continued support! This is an important time for all of us to pull together and weather this storm. We are confident we will do just that.
